• Copenhagen

  The largest city in Scandinavia, Copenhagen is a dynamic city situated around canals, lakes, and the Baltic Sea. • Aarhus

  Aarhus is second largest city in Denmark and has second biggest university in the country. It is situated on the eastern coast of the Jutland peninsula, it is an important seaport. Noteworthy is definately the cathedral Aarhus Domkirche, with second tallest (after Trondheim) tower (93 m) in Scandinavia.

• Aalborg

  Aalborg is the fourth largest city in Denmark, it was founded already in 8th Century. Thanks to good location it is an important port since the Middle Ages. It is also the bishop's seat, in 1974 was founded the university. From the cultural sites it is noteworthy the local castle Aalborghus and the Renaissance municipal houses from 17th Cent. in the city centre.

• Odense

  Odense is third largest city in Denmark and is situated on the Fyn Island. It was founded in 10th Cent. and its name comes from the Nordic mythology. The famous storyteller Hans Christian Andersen was born here in 1805. As for the cultural monuments, there is a brick Saint Canute Cathedral with Canute's tomb, Danish patron who planned to defeat the William the Conqueror, Duke of Normandy. But unfortunately was killed during the rebellion in Odense in 1086.
