From the cultural sites it is noteworthy the local castle Aalborghus and the Renaissance municipal houses from 17th Cent. in the city centre.

    Odense is third largest city in Denmark and is situated on the Fyn Island. It was founded in 10th Cent. and its name comes from the Nordic mythology. The famous storyteller Hans Christian Andersen was born here in 1805. As for the cultural monuments, there is a brick Saint Canute Cathedral with Canute's tomb, Danish patron who planned to defeat the William the Conqueror, Duke of Normandy. But unfortunately was killed during the rebellion in Odense in 1086.
